What is a CV and How to Build Your CV

[No CEs] The goal of this session is to introduce you to what a Curriculum Vitae (CV) is and how to use one. You will learn the differences between CVs and resumes and when to use them. You will also be given tips on how to build your own CV for you to use throughout your professional career.

Rebecca (Becky) Shand, St Cloud State University

Rebecca (Becky) Shand has been a college business instructor for over 26 years with expertise in marketing, sales, management, customer service, and professional development. As a Collegiate DECA Advisor, she has coached hundreds of students to achieve personal and professional success. Becky has been recognized as one of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Outstanding Educators. Becky holds an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) from St. Cloud State University, Herberger Business School. She also has a Masters degree in Education and a Bachelor of Science degree, emphasis in Marketing and Management, both from the University of Minnesota. Becky is also a Minnesota State Luoma Leadership graduate. Her industry experience includes Professional Industry Sales Trainer, Sales Executive for a marketing firm and a newspaper company, Retail Buyer and Manager. As a successful business entrepreneur and businessperson, she uses her experiences to enhance student learning.
