Description

Foundations of Pediatric Health: Part 1

  • Infants and children require specific nutrients to support their proper growth and development for a lifetime of healthy functioning. One critical nutrient required by every cell of the body is essential fatty acids, specifically the omega-3's EPA and DHA. In this talk we will discuss how these fatty acids support brain and eye development, immune function, healthy inflammatory response, and cardiovascular health.

Foundations of Pediatric Health: Part 2

  • The gut microbiome in children plays a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of their overall health, as it influences key physiological processes such as digestion, nutrient absorption, and immune system maturation. In this talk we will discuss the importance of supporting the developing gut microbiome of children for overall health and well-being.
