LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Participants will refresh and reinforce knowledge about the differences between omega-6 fatty acids and omega-3 fatty acids, identifying best sources and the concept of "essential" nutrients.
Participants will understand and be able to enumerate many benefits to the mind and body of the long chain omega-3 fatty acids, EPA and DHA, appreciate potential concerns with their use and how to incorporate them into an overall healthcare management plan.
Participants will learn about a blood test to measure the level of omega-3 fatty acids in red blood cell membranes and how to utilize that information to modify and monitor levels towards supporting the optimal health of multiple body systems
