In this seminar I will explain the standard of compensability that WC judges apply when deciding whether DCs should be paid; when the treatment parameters are waived by insurers; what the parameters actually say as opposed to what insurance adjusters tell providers; what departures are available; when and how to provide notice that treatment will continue beyond the 12 weeks plus 12 visits presumed to be reasonable; and the Jacka/Asti rare case exception that may apply when all else fails. Properly understood, the parameters really are not that unreasonable and there are opportunities to use the parameters against insurers and IMEs to secure payment.
